Default Wintergrass 2020 Vintage Instrument Workshop

The workshop schedule is now posted on the Wintergrass 2020 site and once again, we are doing a vintage instrument session. Wintergrass is a fantastic event, all indoors at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Bellevue, Washington. A really great line up this year with John Reischman on mandolin family instruments and his Jaybirds guitar player Patrick Sauber on guitar (he is a monster player). The workshop is set for Saturday, February 22rd from 10:00 am to 12:00 in the Regency Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency hotel, Wintergarss headquarters. We have the room for some time after the workshop which we will end by 11:15 or 11:30 so any who wish to hang around to talk about instruments can do so. Once again, we have some very cool and rare instruments lined up.

This workshop has been a highlight of the Wintergrass festival in past years (past artists include David Grisman, Mike Compton, Kenny Smith, Chris Eldridge, Julian Lage, Scott Nygaard, Eli West, Tim Stafford, Dale Atkins and many others) and it promises to be great fun again this year hearing some very cool vintage instruments in the hands of such talented artists. Please come out and support this great festival and this workshop - hoping to see many Mando Cafe folks at this event.

Thanks, as always, to Wintergrass for making it happen.

    Mark Demaray

Didn't see the workshop on the W-grass website. I'm wondering if that means seats are sold out if sign up was required

    Thanks Mark!

I just got a very cool vintage Regal mandolin I think you'll like! I'll have it at the workshop, along with a Lyon & Healy A, a Gibson A4, possibly a Dobro mandolin, and a Martin A style that haven't been part of the workshop before.

If needed I can bring the A4 snakehead, the Lyon & Healy mandola, and the Bacon Amateur, although those have been played in previous workshops.
