    Default Jethro Tull (unplugged)

    1987 MTV Unplugged. Ian Anderson/Martin Barre/Dave Pegg

"Serenade to a Cuckoo" & ""Skating Away" (Dave Pegg is on mandolin on the latter)

Nice! The instrumental got cut too short. Love all that old stuff, Thick as a Brick, Benefit, Aqualung, etc..Takes me back.

If I recall Tull used mandolin on several songs on their first several LP's.

I don't think they ever officially stopped using the mandolin. Several band members dabbled throughout their history, although the mandolin was nobody's main instrument.

IMO the mando is lost in the mix, get on the upper strings for this one.
