Default Simpson mandolin in NZ Red Beech

    Kia ora all,
Not 100% sure on the etiquette of posting your own instruments, so feel free to point out if I shouldn't, or if I'm in the wrong place. But I've recently finished this a-style and wanted to use it to draw attention to how amazing New Zealand timbers are. I got this from a retiring banjo builder's secret stash... Red Beech is very like maple, and incredibly stable. Taps beautifully and has so much character and colour. Hope you like it! :-)

Beautiful, very nice work - how about a video or sound clip?

Looks great & love the figure. Also like the functional, utilitarian tailpiece!
