We're gearing up for the Super Bowl tomorrow, cheering on our local Chiefs. Looking forward to hanging out with friends and family and having some great snacks and brews. Doing some wings on the grill and found some interesting snacks at the store just now.

Just looked at the calendar, nope it's not April 1st today.
With the recent cold snaps in southern Florida, iguanas have been falling out of trees and the meat is offered for sale on line, I guess anything is possible.

I love football, but over the years the Super Bowl has become more of an entertainment event than a football game. Even though I am a Chiefs fan, I think I would rather eat an iguana than sit through a whole Super Bowl telecast.

I bet those chips are really dry so each person best have at least a case of cold beer to wash her down with! "That's how I roll anyway!" Beer used to be all my food groups and pretty much took over breakfast, lunch, dinner, not to mention all the in between snacking or should I say licking down

Like most sporting events on television, I like to lounge around on the couch and just noodle on an instrument. Then if the game becomes boring, it can become more serious practice.

Oh, and that's the best Lay's I've seen yet. Wonder what the proper drink pairing is?

Isn't "Super Bowl" somethingK-Tel used to advertise on late night TV? "You can eat from it! Mix in it! Store food in it! Wear it for a hat! Use it for haircuts!...!" I never understood why Americans get so excited about it. Anyway, enjoy yourselves, and may the taste of iguana linger on your taste buds.

I'm getting over t h e flu I've had for the last 10 days so I'm taking it easy today,,lots of practicing while watching a counting cars marathon,,later the super bowl while jogling with a king of Queens marathon (lol),,wife is making some kind of roast,, I'm going with KC, their last few games were pretty impressive,,also,,I'll try iguana chips any time,as a matter of fact I'll eat a whole iguana if I had a chance,I've pretty much have eaten everything else..

There's a huge Asian market in Kansas City and I've tried a number of flavors like the above from parts all over the world. And guess what? They're all good. It's just the names that sound different if you're in the U.S. Not so different from mandolins, really. If you have preconceived notions then that's your paradigm.

Well, the Iguana was a 10 minute Photoshop spoof, in case that wasn't clear. We have a friend who is a delivery driver for Lay's and he loved it. We were hosting a small party with some friends that are used to our antics. My wife is far better at this than I.

Say, look at the calendar. April Fool's in 60 days.

Congrats to your KC Chiefs, it was quite a game made even more exciting when the tv we were watching it on decided to reset itself when the Chiefs were 3rd and goal with 2:44 left in the game. We all ran to the other room in time to watch the play - which went under review then...THAT TV DECIDED TO RESET ITSELF...!!!...we were ready to reset our friend who was hosting the party...lucky for him he got the TVs working again and we were able to see the end of the game...

I often miss the days when you simply hit the one/off switch, and changed the channel by hand . . . and the only time there was a 'reset' was when the TV died, and you had to buy a new one.
