    Default Phish - Waste

I was searching for Phish mandolin covers and came across this gem by a Japanese player named Hiroki Dewa. I found it absolutely beautiful and it only has 89 views. I figured I would share here as I'm sure there are some other phish-heads around.

Anyway, now I have to go try to learn it.

There seems to be an error with the first link I posted. Let me try this.

Worked just fine for me, too, and that was on an IPad.

Thank you. Been a Phish fan since seeing them in college in '92. This piques my interest and I'll have to figure this out now.

Had a lovely 3 night at Alpine this year, somewhat sad that they aren't making WI or IL this summer. Hoping for fall tour ....

This one would be good to learn as it would fit an open mic slot well.

Watched the Trey Anastasio documentary on my latest plane ride. Worth a watch, especially if you’re a Phish fan. I respect/appreciate them but am not yet at a point where I can sit down and listen to them for hours. That said, I’ll be giving them more of a listen after watching the doc. Their Baker’s Dozen tour at MSG where they played 13 nights straight without repeating a song in and of itself is mind boggling (over 280 songs)...

    Good stuff.

Big Phan here too. Sample in a Jar is fun on mandolin. The intro is easy and sounds great on mando. We do that and Sparkle at some live gigs.

Do you have the tabs for Sample in a Jar? I'd love to give that one a try.

I never tabbed it out. I figured out the basic chords on guitar years ago and just play them on the mandolin. To me, the mandolin register fills in the the higher intro licks and sounds pretty good. I have played it in many chord forms and often change the chord form every time.

    Intro and verses
    A C G D
    A E Em D

    Chorus
    A D E D

    Bridge
    C D A G
    C D E

If any Phish phans here don't know Emil's Phish tabs it is the go to for any Phish tune out there. Sample in a Jar is here with chords and lyrics

I might need to start a dedicated Phish/Jambands thread
