Thread: New Book of Evelyn Castiglioni's Tunes

Default New Book of Evelyn Castiglioni's Tunes

Evelyn's books over the past 5 years, ever since her first "Evelyn's Big Book 2015," have been a great source of wonderful arrangements of mostly traditional tunes, with a few originals scattered among her books. And her 5 "Winter's Tale" books for the Christmas/Winter season have been excellent offerings.

Her daughter, Anna, has put together a book which places over 50 of Evelyn's original tunes in a wonderful tribute to her mother. Titled "In Memoriam: Evelyn's Tunes" it is a loving book put together by Evelyn's partner in music.

The price is very reasonable for such an excellent collection of tunes, most of which are arranged as trios just as with Evelyn's previous books. There are a few at the end which are just leadsheets because Evelyn wasn't able to get around to creating her usual trio arrangements of them.

Most of these tunes have been scattered throughout Evelyn's previous publications but it is very nice to have them collected in a single volume.

Anna has created a very fitting memorial to her mother, whose recent passing has saddened us all.

Buy this book! It's available from Amazon in print or as a Kindle edition.

Thanks, DHB. This is a wonderful initiative from Evelyn's daughter.
Here's a direct link to the book on the sales giant.

Thanks for the heads-up. Note, the link that Mick has posted is to the previous book (which Evelyn herself had also uploaded for free here on the Cafe). The link to the new book is here:

I'm a big fan of Evelyn's original tunes, which includes many of our group's favourites. Here they are all in one place.
