Yes. I've often thought of Bluegrass as the "hair metal" of acoustic music because of the fast playing, so many notes, etc. I admire people who can do it (I can't), but to me it gets old pretty fast. I won't call his name, but I was at a very famous Bluegrass artist's concert a few years ago (I got free tickets), and was absolutely bored to death after about the third song. Every member of the band played as fast as was humanly possible on almost every song. But the people loved it, so what do I know?
