Well, it's been the roughest ten months of my life - and that's saying something, I might add. I am really trying my best to stay afloat, but sometimes the tide and the waves don't cooperate.
Anyway, I wrote this song one night, and I didn't have it in my to be able to revisit it until today. A dear friend - and fine musician and songwriter, I might add - dropped by today, and we got to talking and cheering each other up, and of course we picked on a few songs... and drank a lil whiskey. WL Weller whiskey, to be precise.
Anyway, when he left, I remembered this song and decided to try and record it. I apologize for all the short comings I have as a singer and player, but this one is straight from the heart and the best I could do tonight.
Eastman Parlor guitar - E1P-LTD model - and my voice went through a Rode NT1A. The guitar also went through an AKG P170 mic. The mando - an MIC Breedlove Crossover FF - went through the AKG mic.
The song is called That Drink...
