    A lost or stolen instrument notice has been posted on the Mandolin Cafe Classifieds:

    Ad #148854 posted Sun, 29 Dec 2019 16:12:18 CDT - Break in, Courtenay, BC and vintage, approximately from 1940’s, Valencia mandolin was stolen. It has a khaki coloured fabric case, mother of Pearl headstock, in very good shape. ...

    That should be easy to spot. Are there any identifying numbers or wear spots that we can look for?

    I'm really sorry to hear that.

    Since it's not that far from U.S., make sure that the serial number is recorded in US NCIC database, I think you have to work thru BC law enforcement: https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/ncic

    There won't be any serial numbers. That mandolin was built by Harmony in Chicago. They didn't serialize instruments.
