Default string gauges for 23" scale electric OM?

Putting together string sets for a Fender Tenor Tele strung up as an OM and thought I'd ask what your favorite strings and gauges are for an electric 4 string 23" scale OM. It's really has a 22.75" scale, but I'm figuring that 23" is close enough.

    Thanks much...dan

I’m using 46 32 22 12, which is about as heavy as I’d want to go. I also drop to FCGD with those gauges and it still sounds and feels great.

    Thanks,

I don't play an electric OM, but I think the gauges wouldn't be too dissimilar, unless you're going light gauge for vibrato and bending. My OM is 22" scale, and I use the D'Addario EJ80 set -- .046 .032 .022 .012 -- with the .012 discarded and replaced with a .013 for more even tension.

IIRC, the nickel-wound strings you'd want to use on an electric OM are slightly lower tension for the same gauge than phosphor bronze like this D'Addario set. So I think this would be a safe starting point for a 22.75" scale, and then you can experiment from there.

It's good to know that I'm in the ballpark. Thanks again.

    I play a Tenor that is 23.5" scale in GDAE. .042 .032 .018 .011 works great.
