There are crosspicking versions of this tune online and in print, but they are often in the key of D. I worked up this arrangement in C where most guitar players play it. Also thought it would sound better with the open E string. This arrangement uses the McReynolds DUU DUU DU pattern or variations of it for most of the tune. The indicated fingering and pick stroke directions are what works best for me. Beginners of this style should reduce the playback speed to 90 bpm or less, and play along with the attached .tef file. Best to learn one or two measures slowly, memorize the right hand pick strokes and then carry on. It takes a while to get into it. However, experienced crosspickers will have no difficulty with this arrangement. I will be happy to respond to any questions or comments.
