Default Jarrod Wlaker w/ Billy Strings - Paste Studio

I've really enjoyed Jarrod Walker's work since he joined Billy Strings, but I've never heard him break out the complete set of old-school BG chops like he does here. The tremolo and sliding double-stop work is fantastic. Well worth 15 minutes, especially if you FF past the talking.

Maybe everybody knows except me, but is Jarrod playing a Wienman F-style mandolin? Sounds fantastic in very capable hands.

Also, if it is from Wienman, anyone know if he has built any A-style mandolins?

    Thanks, Larry

pretty sure it's a Wienman. Jarrod talks about his mando and gear in his Mandolins and Beer podcast.

Jarrod is indeed playing a Weinman. He has killer chops and can play any bluegrass style. He seems to get alot of his ideas from Sam Bush, including the leg rock/head bob.

Hi Mossmanl...i happened across this thread today. Wes & Will have built at least one A5 that I'm aware of to date. I do know they are planning on offering A5 style mandos moving forward, from recent conversations.
