    Default New Vessel Octave- my homage to the whiteface era

    Still putting the last few coats of varnish on, but this should be ready for the market by the new year.......

    That's a beautiful mandolin! I'm a sucker for white face, and an octave is even better.

    Very cool, Gary. My first Gibson was a 1919 A-3. I miss it. Will you outfit your octave with a ivoroid pickguard? Aso, what scale length and bracing?

    Jim, yes I’m going to have an ivory pickgaurd too.
    Kevin, this instrument will be for sale. I built it because I wanted to. I’m very pleased with how it’s turning out.
    I should hear it by years end.
