    Ellis #450 showed up today and she is awesome. can't wait to get home and tear in to it.

    They use a James tailpiece. I don't know about the arm rest.

    Nah, thats a Dudenbostel armrest I had. The Tailpiece is a James engraved by Ellis.. Thanks!

    Interesting the little inverted finial at the front of the top of the James tailpiece. That must be a custom Ellis thing. Very nice.

    Hey Mike (and others), I Googled "Ellis Mandolin #450," at the top of the list is, "Ellis - F5 Tradition - 450 - Ruttlist," and if you scroll down there is a small video clip of this mandolin being played. Is that you Mike, or a previous owner? I'm sure somebody can transfer that to this thread for all to see/hear, but it's above my geezer pay grade....

    Yes I saw that too and no that's not me. I will try and find a minute this weekend to fire up the camera and play her some. Thanks guys
