My two favorite pastimes are drinking wine and playing the mandolin but most of my friends would rather hear me drink wine! Adapted from quote by Mark Twain------supposedly !

Interesting the little inverted finial at the front of the top of the James tailpiece. That must be a custom Ellis thing. Very nice.

Hey Mike (and others), I Googled "Ellis Mandolin #450," at the top of the list is, "Ellis - F5 Tradition - 450 - Ruttlist," and if you scroll down there is a small video clip of this mandolin being played. Is that you Mike, or a previous owner? I'm sure somebody can transfer that to this thread for all to see/hear, but it's above my geezer pay grade....
