inlaying on wood other then ebony, ( lighter color)

This year for Christmas, I have made my wife a new cutting board w/ alternating woods, mahongany and maple. I intend to inlay her name and the year into the wood ( one of the sides), In ebony, I have used stew-macs black epoxy to hide my non- perfect routing. what glue, - saw dust mixture do you suggest white glue, wood, super glue wood? thanks

I'd use epoxy colored to match. Mileage may vary

It'd be easier to hide in mahogany than maple.

Slow down, use a good magnifying visor and make the inlay fit nice and tight.

I usually mix the wood dust with a drop of Titebond to fill in darker woods. I've not had to fill any light woods, but one thing I wouldn't use is ca glue and dust unless on ebony. I find it darkens considerably compared to Titebond.
