Default Bose S1 Pro stuck on stand..solution needed

Bose Pro S1 stuck on stand

The Bose S1 Pro has an EQ micro switch in the stand hole and I suspect this is what is preventing me from removing stand. The switch has maybe popped out and got stuck in a stand hole or something...very tight to fit something down there.

Anybody run into this problem and can offer a solution?

    Thanks!

I never noticed that tiny switch in the stand hole, what's it for? I have not had a problem with it yet.

You might try getting a pastry knife that is used for spreading frosting on a cake. They make them very skinny (thin) and long with offset handles. Try sliding that down the shaft and see if you can push the switch actuator down enough to let the column slide up and out.......sort of like how they use a slim jim to open a car. Good Luck !
Otherwise how are you liking the Bose ?

Ah pastry knife/car jimmy great idea!

Love the Bose S1 Pro. I have gotten a lot of use out of it

    1) personal monitor/amplifier
    2) floor monitor for vocals etc..
    3) bluetooth speaker for parties...battery powered grrat for this
    4) PA speaker on stand....hmmm

The S1 Pro senses when tilted back or used as wedge and adjusts EQ accordingly. The micro switch in speaker hole tells unit that it is on a stand and will adjust EQ for that application.

Got an S1 pro to use as a floor monitor to complement the Bose L1 compact I've gigged the past ten years, and it's been an awesome combo. Also, it could work as an emergency PA if the L1 were to crap the bed. I gigged it solo at a venue where space is at a premium and volume considerations are paramount. All in all a great little unit. The best part is, I bought it used from this gentleman who used it once - for his daughter's wedding - and paid $375 for it, not $599. A no-brainer.

This might be getting off topic...

I have the L1 model 2 with the ToneMatch-how would I include the S1 if needed?

Took a while but I got through to Bose tech support. Their answer was use a little oil...I said what kind they said any kind....I said WD40? They said sure...so I used the little red thin straw to get in the very small space and applied a fairly generous amount of WD40 and within a minute or two was able to remove the stand.

NOTE: You must use a speaker stand with 35mm diameter..not 36mm
