The greatest band that nobody ever heard of. I knew these guys back in the Twin Cities in the late 70's.

They played "Old Songs Festival" in Altamont NY, had to be 20 years ago, always loved that "Hills of Manchuria" and "Airmail Special".
They referred to Bluegrass as "Peasant music"
The only band that really understood the Holstein perspective.

Thank you. New to me. I met Peter Ostroushko sometime in the 80s at the Augusta Music (Davis & Elkins College, WV). This is when my enamoration with the mandolin started, though it was several years later before I started to play.
And a big thank you out to Peter if you are reading this. Without you I may have never discovered mandolin.

Great stuff! As it is with the songs from the "Original Underground Music from the Mysterious South".

Does anyone know how PO is doing these days (concerning the stroke I believe he suffered some time back)? I´ve been thinking about him time and again.

I spoke to him today. He is hanging in there. He is able to walk short distances with the help of a walker, and is picking out tunes on the piano with his right hand.
