Default My Last Days on Earth

Here's my take on Lauren Price's take on this great Monroe tune. I got the tuning from a video by Shaun Garrity (sgarrity) that I found, so thanks Shaun. I've identified several areas that could use improvements, and I'm working on that, but it's hard cuz I only have one mandolin and can't always tune back and forth. Good argument for having at least two mandolins.... meantime, if anyone asks I'll also make a video in standard tuning. Hope you enjoy it!

Wow, very nice job. Great playing and video - I like that you smiled and looked into camera while playing. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! Having watched several "grumpy" looking players on YouTube, and a few happy looking ones, I figured it's definitely better to smile and look up occasionally. Plus, playing music makes me happy, and smiling is a natural response

Nice, I've never tried this one, I guess I'm too lazy to tune each string different, but its only the G and E strings right?

Thanks! Nope, the full tuning is G#G# C#C# G#B C#E. But you have multiple mandolins ya? You could keep one tuned that way for when you want to play the song. I can also play it in standard, but it doesn't sound quite as haunting

Thanks Don! I just wish I knew more Monroe tunes.... (although that's definitely a rectifiable situation.... )
