Who knew medium roasted espresso is a color.
Yeah, good writing. I've been craving one of those for a while, but just can't get myself past the 33% shipping rate. <sigh>

Not impressed.
It’s just marketing, having it there with rocks to give you the idea that the case is durable.
Why I bet if you took it and bashed it against those rocks a couple of times and then threw the case into the rapids and over a couple of medium sized waterfalls...
well, then you wont be using your favourite picks for your next show, that’s for sure.
Like, thanks Northfield!
(Though yes, they do make pretty good mandolins)

I am such a sucker for little pick pouches and the like, but truth is, I really don't need them. A friend had a tiny mint box this weekend I was lusting after but my current pick ends up between strings, even in the case. Despite having a Blue Chip, my go-to picks are Snarks, which are cheap anyway.
Long answer short, I'd love to have one of these, but it would be just one more thing I don't really need. I am trying to avoid accumulating.

About 50 years ago, like a lot of teenage wannabe guitar slingers at that time, I started carrying around a couple of picks in my jeans pocket. I guess it was a thing back then, because you never knew when you might come across a guitar lying on the street that needed to be played. Well, over time carrying a pick became a routine, primarily for its convenience. I traveled quite a bit throughout my adult life. Wherever I went, I invariably would visit guitar stores, pawn shops, and even folks who placed classified ads to try out instruments that piqued my interest. This is something I still do. And having a pick that I regularly use works very well for me when auditioning an instrument.
Through the years I’ve carried picks loose, in my wallet, in a business card case, in keyring pick holders, and in the smaller Altoid tins. However, a couple of years ago I picked up a small, pocket pill box for under a buck at a Walgreens. It works really well for me, whether I’ve got it in my pants pocket or in the instrument case. While the leather case looks very nice and I’m sure could be used to hold more than just picks, less bulky is my preference.
Compared to the ads I see on Instagram and FB for niche products, this is pretty good. I don't even need one and I like the product now. Well done!

Wow, you must eat really small sandwiches!
I have a feeling we are overthinking this. Sort of like how we might view a two-seater roadster. From a practicality standpoint, they don't make a lot of sense. Small and cramped, only seats two, no trunk to speak of, kind of loud, some aren't even reliable. But if they appeal to you, you might just have to have one.
Similar to this. So,it's not waterproof and a container you can get for free will work as well. Heck, maybe you don't really need anything to put your picks in. But maybe you just want one. If so, go for it. Life it too short for over-thinking.

I was passing no judgement on the item itself - it was just the writing in the ad that caught my attn.

Me too, no judgements, no offense intended, it’s just that I’ve been watching a lot of ‘Brooklyn 99’. And have begun to laugh a lot!
We occasionally watch sitcoms because we live in France and I want my daughter be able to look at life (some of the time) with a sort of detached philosophical sense of humour.
Thanks for posting!
(Bob, I’m on a diet)
What? You live in France and are on a diet?! Heresy! Besides, nothing here at the Cafe will put on pounds.
Actually, I am quite jealous. I'd love to see France, especially the countryside. Living on a farm with lots of orchards and sheep, as you might imagine, I don't get away much! France is very high on my list, though, if I every do travel.

You oldsters who hoard things can sell the old school metal tins for Band Aids, Altoids, or even the holy grail - Sucrets to hipsters for $25 a pop I bet. Even more if they have actual aging instead of that fill the box with milk then bake it nonsense!
