    Isn’t “Mandarin” “Mandolin” in “Engrish”? - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engrish - http://www.engrish.com/category/music/

Put it on a slicer and it would be a mandolin on a mandolin.

Was that the point all along, for real? I always wondered what their name meant, but never put 2 and 2 together because the accent on mandarin is on the first syllable, and the accent on mandolin is on the last. At least the way I pronounce it. LOL

Round here it’s “mannalin,” with a little trail off on the last syllable . Being an English major I actually pronounce the word except when I’m
conversing with the seriously old school...then it’s just not worth all the explaining!
