Default Glue for Randy Wood pickguard

The pickguard on my Randy Wood F5 has two pins that go into the fretboard, plus a side bracket with a little ebony block that's glued to the underside of the pickguard.

At least it *was* glued. The block has come unglued and the pickguard actually fell off during a gig last night.

So what should I reglue it with? I have standard wood glue, Elmer's and Barge cement around the house. One of those? Something else? Do I need to take it to a luthier pal who has a proper batch of HHG at the ready?

Unless he used HHG you will have to clean the old glue of both surfaces, even if you use the same glue.
