I believe a few of the earlier ones by Knutsen did have harp strings like the guitars. I think they were just by the same makers and looked like miniature harp guitars even if they didn't have the harp strings. Here are a few that do have those extra harp strings.

Technically, a harp has strings that run at right-angles to the soundboard. If they run parallel to the soundboard, it's a lyre.

years ago there was a guy playing one like the larson at seattles northwest folk life festival.. it was very cute but i didn't really see the point. maybe for hrp guitar but for mandolin do i want bass strings??? no!!!
there was a knutsen harp guitar for sale at that fest i passed on. oh well. the guy wanted 600 or 700 bucks. shoulda bought it.
