    Price seems steep, other than the rarity of the instrument. And you'd have to have it shipped from Europe.

    I believe "Vernon" was a label used by Bruno, the long-history musical distributors. Other Vernons have been attributed to Weymann in Philly, but I'm not informed enough to give an opinion on this one. Suggestions?

    Overpriced, but available in Europe so there is a premium for American instruments. Over here in US I would think it would sell for $200.

    Brings to mind a line that Don Stiernberg attributed to Jethro - Mandolin players spend half their time tuning and the other half playing out of tune. I think this might change the percentage.
