Most mandocellos EVER?? Well, there were 25 of us in a 140 piece orchestra!
The Solo Mandocello Worlshop was a success thanks to the contributing composers: August Watters who has published (online) his Progressive Melodies for Mandocello and John Goodin who was there to present his Winter Suite for Mandocello. The Fabulous Fabio Giudice was on hand to demonstrate and discuss Raphael Calace's music for liuto cantabile as well as leading and inspiring the huge mandocello section. There was even a mandocello ensemble--"The Low-lifes"--performing at the open mic, organized by Dede Hurson and led by Jim Trepasso. We are all looking forward to San Diego next year; let's keep those low C strings humming!
