    The mandolin is $1 . . . the case is $8,999 . . . and you MUST buy the two together . . . .

It's not a Gibson. So many wrong details. And Ping tuners?

The back wood has a nice pattern.....Wonder if it sounds any good. If it sounds okay, it's probably worth $1.

We had a period a few years ago where someone was selling these to half the pawnshops in the country.

Oh, and it has an electric pick as well!

Yes...the electric pick...Did anyone else notice that the only photo of the electric pickup/pickguard is the closeup of it? it's not in any of the other photos. The only other place I've seen those is on Epiphone mandolins
It ain't gotta be perfect, as long as it's perfect enough!

I'm confused -- what's the point? Even a fake Gibson F-5, which this undoubtedly is, is worth more than a dollar; the tuners alone. the bridge, the tailpiece...

Is it a total scam -- you make an appointment, show up, and get mugged? Or what? For a dollar, I'd buy it, were it in my locale.

On craigslist you have to put a price, so sometimes if people want offers made, or they are selling a group of instruments with separate prices, they put a dollar, just to hold the price spot.

I also just zoomed in on the label inside. It's signed by none other than Lloyd Loar!

I believe this is an Epiphone as well by the way. Yup, they even come with the flowerpot. Changed the headstock logo and the tailpiece and changed the interior label.

Hmm, that's a good find. But doesn't have the flat top near the heel. it's more like this Epiphone...

Yep, that's the one. Nice research, Mike. That's way too obvious, can't believe they did it. I thought it was more like one of these random chinese suppliers, just rebadged.

Sometimes sellers enter 123456, which CL automatically turns into $123,456.

In a sense it is what the seller says it is.......a reissue of sorts......however, it is an unauthorized reissue made by a hobbyist by "converting" an Epiphone....

We don't know the intentions of the person who converted it or the seller. It doesn't really matter except when selling -- that is -- it is legal to own and enjoy such a conversion, but totally illegal to sell and advertise......
