    Default Strad-O-Lin Catalog Pages

I probably posted some of these on various threads over the years but figured I should put them in the photo section of the SOL Social Group.

These are from some catalog pages from various distributors. A few carried the complete line. Some of these are from the NAMM library and I am going with the years they told me. Some were only estimates for this mystery brand.

And there is finally a catalog page showing that my Strad was known as a professional model. The gentleman selling one similar as such now has a page to prove it. I've never seen that page.

If possible can you add them to the Catalog Pages Social Group?

    It is done, sire.

Yes, my Weymann looks just like the A15 with the matching tortoise-oid tailpiece cover.

Mike, So are you saying, the "Armstrong" branded Stradolin model H-2015 "Deluxe Professional" / Priced at $30 (my dad bought a used Packard for $50 in 1942) is what our model is ??? Check out my tailpiece cover. Looks original / the same. You can see why there's confusion with the "Armstrong" branded Stradolin "Artist" model H-2014 priced at $24 (No Picture).Click image for larger version.

It appears to be. My tailpiece cover is a Waverly Cloud covered in the same material as the pickguard and held by two delicate rivets.

Jim, Are there any dates on these catalogs? My Stradolin model H-2015 has a Date stamp of Sept. XXth 1941.

Mike, I Love the tailpiece cover on yours. So pretty. I'd go so far as to say it's the "Holy Grail" of tailpiece covers ...BUT I WON'T, for fear that this thread would be taken over by pictures of other covers.

There is a Weymann in the Mandolin Cafe Classifieds, is that the same one?

Here's the link for the Weymann.

Mine is a little different, has actual binding and different F-holes. I am not sure if the purfling on the classifieds one is painted or actually inlaid. The current classifieds one has the "comma style" f-holes.

Here are photos. First is the one in the classifieds.

I got the Weymann on ebay quite a few years ago and was disappointed to see that it had some serious problems. I lent it and another mandolin to a fellow MC who took it to an instrument repair workshop with the idea that she could use it as a way to learn to fix mandolins. Unfortunately it seemed there were additional issues with it beyond her ability and she returned it to me in pieces. I did get an estimate to have it put back together and made playable but basically it would cost about as much as one that is in playable shape. However, I still have hopes to get it playable again. I may just have to find the right person who can do it. And i may have to bite the bullet for cost. I have a feeling that it might be worth it though.
