Last night, my band played an outdoor event in Hamilton, Montana. It was about 55 degrees when we started playing at 5, and was about 42 when we finished at 9.
I knew something was odd when I pulled my 1919 Gibson A2 out of it's case and checked the tuning, only to find that it was perfectly in tune, even though i had played a 2 hour gig the night before. I thought that it would probably go out of tune once it acclimated to the chilly weather, but no. Despite the fact that we took 2 breaks where it sat on a stand, then got warmed up by my holding it, it stayed perfectly in tune the whole night!
Do you think that I should get it checked out to see what's wrong with it...?
