I'm not sure what the question is; you can switch from tab to notation in Tabledit by pressing the M(mode) in the bottom right corner of the Tabledit screen. I think it defaults to tab, one click on M shows notation, two clicks shows notation and tab.

Norman Blake says he is about as high tech as a Franklin stove. I can relate.
For a paper copy Homespun has Cedar Hill and some cool early Dawg music on "Dawg Mandolin" The Mandolin of David Grisman
circa 1983. I wore out one of those bookelts, called Homespun and they sent me another one for free.
Love trying to play Cedar Hill. You need a quick-strike rattlesnake pinky.
How ironic. The Franklin stove, invented by Benjamin Franklin in 1741, was, without a doubt, a scientific wonder in its day. It was carefully researched by Franklin. His stove had a special hollow baffle at the back designed to transfer additional heat into the room, and it used something called an "inverted siphon" -- a way to get the flue to direct more hot fire fumes over the baffle area. In short, it was exceedingly HIGH TECH for its time, and variations of the Franklin design are still in use today. Franklin chose not to patent his design, because he wanted more people to be able to take advantage of it. One result of that were improvements by a guy named Rittenhouse. The Franklin stove could both act as a cooking stove and a room heater.
Norman Blake may not have realized how high tech a Franklin stove truly is!
P.S. Funny, but the main part "Cedar Hill" can easily be played without using the pinky at all. In fact, the pinky is only needed for the (long) ending, which modulates to a different key. However, there's a tab out there, due to Mike Stangland, that mistakenly uses a pinky on the 7th fret, when the adjacent open string can more easily be played instead -- and I also think that's what Grisman himself does!

Wow, thanks Dawg!
I was about to say that I learned it from a Dawg tab that definitely used the 7th fret pinky....but he beat me to it!
Thank you David!

Thanks, Dawg! Now, if only I could get the pinky on my tiny hands to stretch up to the 8th fret, for E.M.D!
Anyone have the harmony in either standard notation or tab?
Thanks.
Thanks, Alan. Lovely harmony.
FWIW Cedar Hill [with harmonies] can be found in this Homespun book along with more great Dawg tunes and treats...
