Default Check this out: Dana Mohr Plays Huckleberry Hornpipe

This is from Howard Yearwood's "Saddleback" 1979 LP on Ridge Runner. Mohr seems
stylistically ahead of his time here, and plays a unique triplet-driven mandolin solo.
From what I remember he won a major contest around 1980 and he played
in Colorado a bit then. [He has a few tracks now on Youtube but they are mostly vocals.]
The tune starts at 39:53 and the mando solo is toward the end.
He also has a few other good solos on there, and there is another mandolin player,
with a conventional style, featured. I think Bill Knopf on banjo played very well.

Fine playing … thanks for posting this. I hear shades of Dave Peters in his usage of arpeggios. R/
    I love hanging out with mandolin nerds . . . . . Thanks peeps ...

I'm hearing a little of Frank Wakefield too, though they don't phrase the same.
His New Camptown Races has a nice chord solo. It starts after the guitar melody at 7:02

Woo! That's frivolous mandolin playing! Thank you for posting.
