    I'd say if its a keeper leave her be! I think it looks great! I'm no pinky planter but have to have a pickguard as a guide of sorts-yeah its a mental thing! "I know I've got a complex!" But to me looks aren't that important, it should be all about the tone, sound overall voice etc...But there are some people I've learned that just can't handle a scratch, ding or even a hairline but hey when some instruments are 100+years they will have battle scars!

    I agree with Bill and if you do want to have it touched up bring it back to Sim. In fact after 12 years I bet he could make some small adjustments and keep it going for another 12 years and you will almost feel like it is a new mandolin. That is, of course, if he is willing to do the work. That is very appealing to me and let so than doing it yourself (unless you are an excellent finisher). Just my 2 cents
