Back in 2009, I had Don Paine build me a Pomeroy A2 mandolin.
It has become one of my favorite instruments.
I especially like the sound it has with flatwound strings.

Very nice! I recognize so many of those places in the slide show. Close to home.
Thanks for the music,cc. Nice pickin. That's one of my very favorite waltz tunes. It can be a tremolo workout with or without double stops.
Your Pomeroy A2 sounds great with those strings. Is that the set with a wound A string? I have used a set like that on my oval holer.
Would love to have that guitar accompaniment. Lovely.
Congrats on your 10th! That is a very nice sounding rendition of one of my favorite tunes. I thought the whole presentation was quite well done. Did you do the guitar and the recording as well?
Sweet recording. Thought I recognized Mt. Sopris in your slides, and the Roaring Fork Valley with the Aspens turning colors. Reminds me of my childhood in Colorado. (I own Pomeroy #8 from 2003, and it's my favorite -- see the peghead in the avatar on the left).
