Sorry if I was being insensitive (in Post 23, to the vegans perhaps), as we don't have much banjo crime up here in Canada.

Actually, I do get your point, JE. Some of the humour is getting close to expressing political opinions.

"I never did have no trouble with him until he got big enough to be round with bigger boys and off from home. Then he used to follow all these harp blowers, mandoleen (sic) and guitar players."

I want to say that I’m sorry as well for being insensitive in post 9 to people.
And I agree that it’s probably not harmonious to imply anything about Politics or Religion on MandolinCafe.
So, sincerely, I hope I didn’t offend anyone either.

(That’s why I didn’t want to mention that the guy was said to be wearing a tee shirt with the 10 commandments on it -which possibly shows that he probably isn’t clinically insane, ie. he probably has some good moral values)

But whatever, looking at the photo, and just from a musician’s perspective, I like what the banjo used to look like.

Did I miss something? It looks like a bull and a bear to me.

Yep... we live in a country where owning an AK-47 is more acceptable than owning a banjo.

    And we pay the consequences.

There's no question that they're a bull and bear, the symbols of the stock market. I was reacting to the comments beneath the pictures, in which the people posting, perhaps with tongue in cheek, referred to the animals as a "cow" and a "pig."

pppfffff. a fake metal banjo. if he had gotten hold of my old metal bodied Ode, the bull would have been reduced to scrap.
