Help With A Couple Chords

Had my mandolin about a month and trying to figure out chords and boy can I get lost in sharp and flat keys, well basically lost in everything to be truthful and it's gonna take a whole lot of practice, a whole lot!

I don't know where I came up with this little structure but was searching for something outside the 1-4-5 for the moment but don't know what it is, if anything. Just saved it to my google drive so I guess the link will work, didn't upload to the tube. Oh and recorded on my iPhone so quality is what it is...a darn phone

Sounds like Hotel California. Can’t quite tell what notes you’re playing in those 2 chords.

Also, mandolins typically are not played like little guitars, but rather as plucked violins, ie, referring to your left hand position. But people do all kinds of things different from ‘normal’. You’ll get better reach for the more spread out chords down the line thinking violin though.

The second chord is definitely Em. I can't quite tell what you are playing for the first chord. It looks like a B and an F# which would make it a B minor double-stop (omitting the 3rd).

Looks to me that you're going from x42x (B) to x41x (Bm) in the first part.

The second part looks like you're doing 457x (Em) which then goes to F#

I hope that I've seen it correctly.

hmmm if some of it sounds like Hotel California cOoL, I need to learn all the chord movements I can but I would like to know the names of the first chord mentioned, guess the second is Em ...oh now I hear that Fsharp to G on the Hotel California reference but good to know I can change that to G to Fsharp

I agree with Jim. What I thought was B and Bm turn out to be the F#sus & F#, I should have listened better.
