I'd like to try one. If I can find a shop here that carries it, I'll give it a go.

I use one. There’s a couple of tricks to it.
One you need to put it out of the PA jack even if you’re going into an alp.
Two You need to tweak the knobs.
Three. Neck pickups are best with it.
The work best I think in a band but in a pinch, you’ve bought your telecaster and they’ve asked for s song that needs an acoustic they’re a neat p
And useful pedal. Or if you’re too lazy to carry two instruments.

Davey Stuart tenor guitar (based on his 18" mandola design).
Eastman MD-604SB with Grover 309 tuners.
Eastwood 4 string electric mandostang, 2x Airline e-mandola (4-string) one strung as an e-OM.
DSP's: Helix HX Stomp, various Zooms.
Amps: THR-10, Sony XB-20.
I was thinking of it not for sounding acoustic, I have enough acoustic mandolin family instruments that it's not necessary in that capacity. I was thinking of adding a bit of reverb (outboard of the amp) and playing with tones and timbres.
I have read posts and articles around the internet that back up David's points.

My plan is to use it to temporarily get an acoustic tenor guitar sound from my electric, while I wait 7 months for my acoustic to be built.
