It's like 6 degrees to Kevin Bacon. All conversation eventually leads to mandolins.
..your mandolin shows up in your dreams,,I've had several nightmares where I come home and my mandolin was stolen...
I couldn't access the linked file. But I know exactly what you mean, I do the same with tables, countertops, bunk beds, hardwood floors, desks dressers, you name it. I'm addicted to pretty wood.....

technically, if it was stolen in your dream it didn't show up
I have this recurring dream that I am supposed to go on stage with a band none of whom I know, they have a table full of stringed instruments but none of them has the correct number of strings, size or tuning, and I don't know any of their songs, so mine doesn't show up either.

...when you tune your ukulele bass in fifths and can’t stop yourself from playing tunes really fast.
I have no need for any new/old mandolins as I have a serious stable! But that sure doesn't stop me from looking daily at any new arrivals from the sites I like! One never knows what'll turn up for a deal, or something to trade for as each is different!

when your walking into church & your thinking that the mahogany front door would make a nice mandolin or banjo. an the doors to the church are real nice, the church is from 1957.
when you are playing your guitar ( which you've been playing for over 50 years ) and you're suddenly confused by 'all the extra strings ' .
When you come on mandolincafe and get excited cuz in the "this day in mandolin history" area, it shows that you share a birthday with Roger Siminoff!

When you're grocery shopping and you find yourself thinking that if you didn't have this annoying need to eat, you could get that pretty little mandolin you've had your eye on SO much sooner.
When your friend hands you their guitar and you find yourself thinking/saying "what the cr@p!... this is just WAY too big!!!!" (Even after years of guitar playing)

When you squeeze onto an already overcrowded tube train and instantly notice the fellow traveler at the far end of the carriage with 'that' case. And then spend the rest of the journey thinking about what might be inside...
You see one on line that "grabs you", too far away from you to travel and try it out, and you go to bed thinking about it, and you wake up thinking about it....

I have the “wouldn’t that wood have been better used...” fantasy all the time!
As for seeing someone with a case, not so much. I have mine and I’m reasonably content so, why torment myself so much!

...there is no place for guests to sit in the living room because all the chairs are occupied by mandolins.
"or you suggest that "Gibson" would be a fine name for a grandchild." You're drawing a fine line there bucky, EVERYONE knows that the grandchild should be named Epiphone, not Gibson, because you're going to be spending so much money on Gibson's that when it comes time that they want to play an instrument, you'll have to buy them an Epiphone
