Default New to the forum Alan Cook UK.

I've been playing mandolin for a number of years as a second/ third instrument to my main instrument pedal steel guitar. I have an old gibson A50 I think! That I have just had re fretted and set up and it now sounds and plays amazingly..

This is a great forum can't believe I've not see it until now!

Another UK welcome here - from Scotland, Alan. I have been on here for several years and still find it a great and positive site. Have a look over at the Song-A-Week group for a really friendly and encouraging forum.

    I second that!
Another UK player. I live south of the Channel. Ha, ha.

Been working on my Octave recently, lots of slides and bends, happy that I can (sometimes) get it to sound like these guys:

(North Shore by Reischman, this amazing version on slide played by two other guys...)

I'll be the first non-UK player to offer you a warm welcome! I'm in Africa, and UK is in a very close timezone, so I often see lots of their posts.
