Gibson Tenor.Deal or no deal

I have an opportunity to buy a Gibson tenor. I think its mahogany. 60's supposedly with the usual nicks and scrapes for $595. I think I would change/replace the tuners and play with the bridge.
Seems like a heck of a deal. Is there any such thing anymore?
