Visit to Avenue Guitars

My Wife and I are visiting her family in Colorado Springs and paid a visit to Avenue Guitars in Manitou Springs a couple of days ago. We had a very nice but short visit and I got to play the Quilted Collings F-5 and a couple of Northfields. The Northfields were hard to beat. John was very gracious with his time and we had a nice chat.
Today we got the local paper (The Gazette) and there is a very nice article about John in the Life section.

When I lived near Colorado Springs in the mid 90's, a stop at John's shop was essential for all trips downtown. Very pleasant and welcoming environment. My best to John and family. So glad to hear they are still thriving.
