    Default Apitius Mandolins

I remember looking at the magazine review of the J model Apitius. I have looked at
his site numerous time and even emailed him with several emails. If you have not review his website you should. His stuff is beautiful to say the least. Well after much pondering
I pulled the trigger and just sent a deposit on his second ever left handed model.
I am so excited but I need to calm down it wont be done till july 2020.

At my age I wouldn't wish a year to go by fast on anyone, but hope you find it tolerable.

    Hey Spud -
Nice choice - I recently had a Custom Vanguard built and I am absolutely amazed by Oliver’s work - the mandolin is maturing at a rapid rate, and is easily the best mandolin I’ve ever owned. I did a ton of research, including personal discussions with top level professionals highly familiar with his work (who shall remain nameless out of respect.) Oliver built for a number of years, and after a hiatus, returned to building - only this time he upped his game and is producing instruments that surpass anything that ever came before. His work is consistently outstanding, ranking among top tier builders such as Dudenbostel, Heiden, and Gilchrist. Among his biggest fans: Adam Steffy and Dan Tyminski, both of whom (I’m told) own several.

    Hi Mando
you are correct his stiff is top notch and he is one of the nicest guys
to talk to. I was lookin at a Collins F (lefty) on the Mandolin store website for
a long time> I already have an A style and wanted something with a little different
tone and man does his J model deliver that. Now I just need to figure out how
to go down for a nap for about a year.
