Default Alex Heflin on the Eastman ER-M mandolin

Terrific video by Alex Heflin who should be a familiar name of many, his take on Django Reinhardt's "Douce Ambiance" on the new Eastman ER-M El Rey mandolin.

Am curious as to what type of amp he is using.

Alex is a monster talent. I bought his book of transcriptions and am amazed at how much effort and ear was required to produce it.

Gorgeous music by Django, very nice performance, and delightful tone from the Eastman!

That Eastman sounds great, I didn't know they made E-mandolins? I've thought about adding one to the stable? A friend has an E-mando by a maker called Mann-I think anyway, its pretty snazzy!

I intentionally chose a very simple setup to show off the tone of the instrument. I just ran the mandolin straight into a Fishman Loudbox Artist.

The eq was pretty flat and I threw on a small amount of reverb, but that's it!
