Re: Disappointment
Just Curious! Was it offered for sale by a non mandolinist? I often see mandolins offered for sale (Usually not the Cafe classifieds) by non players that acquired a mandolin with no knowledge of the instrument. They may be selling with integrity guided by their lack of knowing the difference between playable and not. I will automatically pass on these without the opportunity to actually examine the mandolin knowing that I may possibly, but unlikely, be missing out on a good deal. Therefore, my go to source for a mandolin is the Cafe Classifieds. I have yet to purchase a mandolin from the classifieds that was not as described by the seller. Perhaps, I have just been lucky. I do, however, purchase with a 48 hour return option. And, when selling the hand full of mandolins I have sold on the Cafe I do my very best to not misrepresent the mandolin.
