Thread: Long shot - any tenor guitar owners on the forum in Bucks, UK?

Default Long shot - any tenor guitar owners on the forum in Bucks, UK?

First post here - I'm very interested in giving tenor a go, but don't want to go and buy one without having a thorough play on one first. So I'm wondering if there are any forummers in the Amersham/Chilterns/Bucks area of England with one knocking around...?

(As an experiment I've taken the E and A off my 6 string guitar and tuned the remaining strings in 5ths, although I didn't have the nerve to get the top E up to G in order to have a capo on the 2nd fret giving me correct CGDA tuning.)

    Thanks!

I've tuned my guitar as a tenor before, but I go for the GDAE tuning, which is less likely to break things.
