    beautiful job. i'd love to hear it. i have never heard a lyon healy in person. i live in a mandolin backwater. there are some great players here but not a lot of unusual or top of the line high end mandolins. two of the best players here still play those seventies ibanez mandolins that bill monroe did ads for.

    L&H's sound pretty good if you like the oval/round hole mandolin sound! They are different big time in compared to the Gibson round hole counterparts ans some models are pretty darn fancy, the ones I've had were all gorgeous, but just didn't have the "it" factor for me anyway as I like the more focused and power type tone of F-hole Gibson models, be it the short-necks or the long neck 5 scale of the F-5 for tonal power, presence, clarity all the goods that make a vintage F-5 what they are.
