Default New Kelley A model violin style

Here’s the latest mandolin finished in the shop. It a violin style. I really like making these mandolins. It’s made with some highly figured maple and 100 year old red spruce. It’s a good mandolin already. I can’t wait to hear what it will sound like after it’s been played for a while. I used amber stain and old recipe violin varnish. It has a compound fretboard with EVO frets. I’ll see if I can put up a sound clip soon. Thanks for looking!

Never seen a violin with a "Florida fingerboard extension" or a pick guard!

Love the Gibson Grover tuners. Just all around nice. If I owned that my style of music would probably change. How could you not at least attempt the Cello Suite No. 1 on that? Great look and I'm sure it sounds as good as it looks.
