Default Draleon Royale with some issues

So I just bought a gorgeous 2006 Draleon Royale mando last week and love it.

After looking it over I noticed it has a portion of its top sunken in and there is one tiny crack.

Should I worry about this or just play it as is?

That looks like a potential problem. Take it to Fiddlers Green and have it looked at.

is it the one that was recently in the Classifieds here?

That’s what I was afraid of. I’ll be taking it into Fiddlers Green tomorrow.

It is actually that same mando. So glad I bought it as I love the feel and tone so much. Hopefully this crack isn’t too big of a deal.

The crack itself isn't a big deal. What could be a big deal is what caused the crack. In guitars, a crack in that area is often indicative of a problem with the neck block. Sometimes it's moved a bit, but is stable, in which case you can continue to play it with no issues as long as the new neck angle allows it to be set up.
My very first oval hole mandolin prototype developed a crack there. I made the area above the soundhole towards the neck too thin. After it cracked, it just stayed like that without moving any more. I gave the instrument away, and it's perfectly stable.

I’m hoping this is something similar to what you had encountered. Now I’m worried a tad...

I repaired an octave mandolin for a customer with the builder's consent (builder paid me). I re-enforced the area and it was fine after. Just as Marty says a little flaw in the build.

Thanks guys! I’m not so worried about it now knowing is a fairly common issue.

Here is a quick sound sample of her before having the crack looked at and having a full setup done with some upgrades.
