    They are either Gotoh's or Saga copies of Gotoh. What mandolin is it on?

    It’s from a small builder, not a Saga manufactured instrument.

    Saga imported and sold tuners that look exactly like Gotoh's but they don't fit Gotoh buttons and are not in my mind made as well. The plates are slightly wider and all of the screws are the same. The only way of telling what you have is by checking the size of the stem where the buttons attach. I learned this the hard way. These were also sold on Reverb as elsewhere by folks that said they thought they were Gotoh's. I only buy packaged Gotoh tuners now.
