Happy fourth of July y'all! Have some fun, but don't blow your hands off with fireworks, you still need them to play patriotic tunes (like liberty!)

Thanks! Happy fourth to all !!! My wife and I celebrate with an all day Harley ride. She on hers, me on mine. Freedom! PARTY!!!
Didn't Ben Franklin want the tune "Liberty" to be our County's song instead of America or Star Spangled Banner?-what one was it? I know he loved that fiddle tune. Happy 4th to all you patriotic mandolin madmen and women, stay safe and don't blow off those fingers!
Great job on the guitar Gunnar! Nice arrangement and like the pick/finger style you got going on-I can pick but trying to get those extra right fingers going is a no go for me! I guess never took the time to try much

Due to current budgetary restrictions the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off -- sorry about the inconvenience.
Thanks, William. I think I've heard that about Mr. Franklin but don't know if it's true. I've been playing the guitar a good while longer than mandolin, so that contributes (as does the fact that much of my guitar playing is fingerstyle)
Bernie, thanks. That's a cool version of the song, that guy now needs a Chapman stick
My mother and her family are all immigrants, my father's parents and half of his siblings are immigrants . . . and we are all proud and happy to be Americans.
Happy Independence Day.
Well, technically unless you're a native American you're descended from immigrants..... that's one awesome thing about America! (Sings to self) I'm proud to be an American, where at least there's Chick-fil-a....
Yeah, well I've lived so much of my life in Africa, that this is home pretty much, but I am still proudly a Texan and an American (I'm probably one of very few white African Americans you'll meet)
Happy Independence Day everyone!
