Default Bouzouki pin bridge to floating bridge conversion?

    Morning,
I am restoring an old bouzouki at present.
I have the body but will be carving a new neck.
I have one or two ideas for bridge / stringing configurations in mind but was wondering what would be needed to be done with the bracing if I were to convert from the original pin bridge (has been removed in the past) to a floating bridge and tailpiece set up.
It has a normal sort of X bracing at present.
    Thanks in advance.
    Oliver

Lots of variables that need to be considered, such as neck angle, bridge height, and string break angle over the bridge which all effect down-bearing force on the soundboard from the bridge. I have long argued that X bracing is great for fixed bridges and not nearly as effective as preventing soundboard distortion with a floating bridge. Might be simpler to make a new soundboard.

    Cheers
