Nice! My panduri is, I think. just a piece of tourist junk ... not really playable, or at least the relationship between frets and bridge doesn't lend itself to playing according to any scale system that I recognize. What inspired you to build one?

Sorry I previously missed the above messages. I will build more if commissioned to do so. I built this because I've wanted one for a while, after being inspired by youtube videos etc.

The above videos are great! There's a group I like called Trio Mandili who play a panduri.
Here's a video of me attempting to play the above one, as a sound sample of it:
Edit: For some reason I can't seem to post the video here, so here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZYawMlAJKU

Jo: I am always amazed at the variety of instruments you build. I looks forward to your posts because I always learn something new.

Trio Mandili rocks!
I found a very nice-looking panduri on ShopGoodwill of all places, with what appears to be a more Western-style chromatic fretboard. I actually haven't taken it out of the shipping box yet, but I'm excited.

YouTube knows what I like but these recommendations were great. I love these this music. Here's a couple that I like a lot. The first for the rhythm that the pandurist is playing, the second because of this humorous song—I don't understand the song even though someone translated the lyrics but you can feel the joy.
